Hi, I'm Bethsaida Jake - thanks for being here!

I'm a freelance illustrator based in Chattanooga, TN, with a focus on children's books and story-driven work. My art centers around narrative, character, and quiet moments - illustration that leaves room for imagination and invites you into a new world.

I grew up homeschooled, surrounded by books and art, and later taught elementary art within the homeschool community. In 2020, I illustrated my first children's book, Goodnight Wimberley, written by Monica Rasco - a fully hand-painted watercolor and pen project that's been a joy to see out in the world. Since then, my work has expanded to include murals, wedding stationery, poster art, and other illustration projects that call for a thoughtful, narrative approach.
